Well, fuck.

I miss you too, I just don’t have vlogs to show for them, because everybody said I suck at it, and my webcam is abysmal, and several other excuses I am too lazy to type out because I’m so incredibly tired right now.

=D Hope you’re having a blast. Can’t wait till you get back.

Toy Story 3 - Review

image

Wow.

The amount of creative and cinematic ability Pixar Studios has continues to astound me, and I’m pretty sure it will continue to do so as long as it keeps making these masterpieces. I’ll tell you now, this isn’t really a review.

It’s an ode to a film franchise that will never cease to amaze me.

I hadn’t watched Toy Story in what seems like more five or so years ago, nor the sequel. The fact that I remember it so vividly really does prove the point of how long that film lasts in your head, especially when you’ve grown up with it. And I think that’s the main thing about this kind of movie: you’ve grown up with the characters.

And the wonderful irony about that is that these movies are about a bunch of toys.

But Pixar has done something they do best—play with our hearts. There’s a lot of that in this film, simply because of the history behind the franchise, and the key part of the target audiences: the teenagers. The ones who have literally grown up with Toy Story, like me.

As soon as I see Woody, Buzz and all the others jump out of the toy chest in Andy’s room, it’s like I’m back to where I stopped, the five or so years after watching Toy Story 2. And I agree that this threequel couldn’t come at a better time, when, fittingly, I was graduating high school and moving on too, like Andy in the film.

image This emotional setup during the beginning parts, even beginning minutes of the film, establishes a setting that is maintained and dynamic at the same time. The two sequences were perfect. They brought us into the mind of a kid, and really did let us join in on their adventures. After which, we’re brought back into this setting of nostalgia, remembrance and unification with the characters that we saw long ago.

By the 15-minute mark, the smile hadn’t left my face.

Perfect scriptwriting, talented animation that keeps the style of the previous two films, voice acting as genuine as talking toys can be, and a plot that’s classic and always works. I mean, it’s undoubtedly a perfect formula.

Throughout, there are enough laughs to entertain the young ones, and the old ones, because all the characters are just as they were, which is why we fell in love with them. And the new characters as well only add to the value of the characters, and don’t subtract, as most sequels inevitably do in bringing in new characters.

Accompanied by the high notes are the low ones. The special thing about these is that we’re feeling them too—most specifically Andy’s separation and passing on of his toys. It’s safe to say we are feeling the say way as we watch the crew try and work around the fact that Andy, like me, is going away.

The empathy is there, the humour is there, but it’s not until later that we finally get to see where this is all going.

Now that I think about it, it may not be the most cohesive plot progression in regards to keeping it with the previous two films, but it’s hardly noticeable when you watch it, because it’s amazing how well Pixar does in keeping you interested. But, as I said, it’s all those elements that come together to make a damn good emotional ride.image

When we get to the main part of the film, It got better than what I was already seeing, which is hard to believe. But I think the best way to gauge how much you enjoyed a film is how often your facial expressions change on cue with something happening on the screen.

Like I said, my smile never left my face, but in between them were gasps, laughs, and a constant open mouth with all the suspense and action that occurs.

This is an escape film, after all. But with toys. How awesome is that?

I won’t go into the technicality of it all, because there’s no point in reviewing it. As wholly a film, Toy Story 3 is pretty much flawless, and any flaws you could figure out would be trumped by all the positives, which pile and pile up with each one-liner, emotional sequence, and step in character development.

Plus, there is a part where I am sure you’ll enjoy, or already have enjoyed, involving Andy and all this toys, with a certain other character near the end. Cute.

And you know, that’s all this film needs to be, despite it being so much more.

It’s a cute film, but it’s also a nostalgic film. It’s immersive, funny, witty and heavy at the same time. It’s a mosaic, not a melting pot of film elements.

I can’t say enough about it, but I can’t find what the best thing to say is.

So I’ll say, go watch it if you haven’t already. If you have, I’ll wait until you can grab it and watch it at home with as many friends and family as possible.

Oh, and again with the whole Andy-going-to-college thing struck home, especially for me. There’s a lot of thematic subtext in this film, which I’m pretty sure you can figure out, but the important thing is taking it home with you.

If you take a movie home with you, in your mind, your heart, and everything else—if you’re talking about it, thinking about it, and wondering why its such a wonderful film, and why you can’t watch the characters do everything they do outside the given screen time—that’s a good movie.

No, a great movie.

But this, Toy Story 3, is one of the best.

It’s the last, and its bittersweet, but it was a great time.

And, after all, there are always new toys to play with.

Let me tell you why you’re an idiot.

You feel like your doing something important? Like you’re fighting for a cause? Do you think that donning a black mask and carrying a 2x4 will make your voice be heard any louder?

Then you’re an idiot.

This year’s G20 summit in Toronto wasn’t something I was paying too much attention to, since it really didn’t effect me, and Toronto was going to be crowded, and I didn’t want to be trapped in thousands of protestors trying to get somewhere.

And then I hear about vandalism, violence, and property damage erupting in the downtown core. Places where I’ve walked down, like Yonge Street, where shoppers go to enjoy themselves and I can find pretty much anything to walk into and browse. Now it’s locked down with police brigades in riot gear and pseudo-wannabe anarchists trying to stick it the ‘man’ by breaking shit.

Tell me why you’re not an idiot if you do that.

Seriously, what the fuck are you fighting for? Most of you are early adults, either in college/university or just out of it. Does all the budget talk effect you? Are you part of a labour union? Has one of these G20 countries changed the way you live your life?

You live in Canada, you fucking dolt. Why don’t you uphold its image?

Or are you too obsessed with the opportunity to be like Che Guevara and lead a ‘revolution’ against 20 of the biggest, most industrialized and advanced nations in the world? You screaming ‘We want change!’ is like a distant call to their ears.

They have better things to worry about than you.

So the next time you try to violently represent your ‘cause’, think again. There is no other way you will be heard, and breaking windows of shops that I want to visit next weekend doesn’t help anybody in any way whatsoever.

What worries me is exactly the fact that most of you black bloc protesters are young adults. To me, this is a cry for attention, not a cry for change. A feeble, pathetic attempt to bring something new to the table. What you want is to feel important, because you’re drawn into this idea that fighting anything resembling authority and normalcy is something you don’t want.

Don’t even get me started on the concept of ‘anarchy’.

You’re a thug. That’s all you are. You’re bringing something Torontonians and all of Canada has always avoided, always tries to prevent, and never experienced: widespread, mass violence. Why? It’s so counter-intuitive. Not only are you misrepresenting the people, but I can’t push the point enough that you’re not changing anything.

You want to fight for less security spending, yet you’re breaking windows.

Smarten up. We’re Canadian. We’re respected.

We’re fucking better than this shit.

Aurally Audacious Endeavours – Sovgner/Knuckles

Only recently did I ever get into techno. A long time ago, I was really a pop-punk kid in middle school, the kind of the music you want to associate yourself with because it was cool in the early 00’s. But now, I like to think I’ve advanced in musical taste in diversity and appreciation. And something I always value is some in-your-face, all-out, overwhelming beats.

That, obviously, comes in the form of electronic music. Now, to me the genre of ‘electronic’ is so god damn broad it shouldn’t be called a straight up genre, because there’s so many sub-genres within it that are, by themselves, just as expansive. Take House music for example, one of my favourites, as it now incorporates so many different elements its hard to pinpoint a specific, classic House DJ. Despite this, I still go with Daft Punk, cause they’re OG when it comes to House.

Dance is another genre with lots of expansive sub-genres, and really I think Dance music is just music that you can find it nightclubs and whatnot, which is basically everything, so I still don’t follow the categorizing scheme of these things, but whatever.

The fact of the matter is, I’ve grown to love hard electronic music not only for the methods in which DJ’s can create beat construction and the subtleties or intense abruptness of drops, but just because the amount of fist-pumping you can do to this kind of music is absolutely endless.

Which gets me to Sovgner, formerly known as Knuckles. He’s an underground DJ hailing from Paris who, from what I have heard so far, makes beats like no other DJ I’ve heard yet. Plus, from him, I’ve discovered a few more insanely good DJ’s that too make beats that I’ve never heard before.

To me Sovgner is part of a DJ scene that’s slowly starting to rise in notoriety, because of the power of the intarwebz and the willingness for people to search up this kind of music.

Initially, I found out about Sovgner through watching a Staff Pick video on Vimeo:

KNUCKLES | BLAKE - WHAT I LIKE from Paul Bryan on Vimeo.

From there, I did a little research, and in the French House scene, I can assume that Sovgner gets talked about in nightclubs, but elsewhere, I can assume that he’s relatively unknown, and I’d like to get all his music, but that seems like a difficult task. What sucks about underground music is that it’s so unknown you can’t even illegally download it, because no store you know sells it near you.

Where’s the fairness in that?

At any rate, Sovgner (Westernized spelling; it’s a European name I think), exemplifies everything that is incredibly about techno, and specifically electro house, where just about any hard bass coupled with ‘saturated melodies’ makes your head bang and fist pump so much you get lost in it all.

Or something like that.

Check him out, and it should lead you to a whole other area of underground electronic music that contains probably the best I’ve, and you will, ever heard and hear.

Brainblast

Now that I’m looking at those two posts below me, a neat idea struck me.

And that happens rarely, but when it does I take advantage.

I have Aurally Audacious Endeavours, which have not seen much action for a while since, well, all the music I send you is probably music you already know, and I’m too mainstream anyways for you hipster kids these days. But that will continue on, hopefully at a faster pace.

My reviews have died. That’s unfortunate. But it is the summer, which means 2 months of complete and utter boredom, considering I don’t get off my ass and make some legitimate money to pay for things like…well, important things. Knowing that a job is not something I can illegally download or buy from Dollarama (what if I worked there?), you might see a re-emergence of my satirically cynical commentary on SUM NEXT MOVIEEZ.

Creative Writing is a tag that is probably pretty cool to have in this blog, since it’s the one thing not geeky (I hope) that’s on here. In the near future I will be posting more stories/articles/essays that I've done in the past, or just posting a rant that comes as I write it down, and the same goes with stories. You may see some old stories come back up, and possibly, if we're all lucky, unfinished stories get finished.

If you don’t already know where I’m getting at, I’m talking about something new. A posting event, if you will. Like FML or LATFH, only not a dedicated blog for showing you things. A little taste of that wouldn’t be bad though, I mean, look at I SAVED LATIN! where they just post a video or picture and they’re done with it. Which, I have to say, is a much easier and better way to blog, instead of writing all this useless crap you don’t even read, I mean—

Yeah, I’ll stop. The point is, given those images below gave me an idea; coupled together, they look awesome. No, more than awesome.

They look epic. So, this new weekly (I hope) posting event will include similar pictures. If I can find them, and given my time browsing the intarwebz, it shouldn’t be too difficult.

These are essentially epic pictures of the week.

I may call it Epic Pictures of the Week.

No. Something better.

The Weekly Epicture.

Damn, I’m good.

Stay tuned, kids.

Aurally Audacious Endeavours – The Album Leaf

Ambient music, to me, is one of the most interesting genres of music. The broadness of its capabilities and contrastingly, the simplicity of its sounds have the ability to keep you in awe, and more often than not, send chills down your spine.

Out of all instrumental music, Ambient is the most fun to listen to, because the instrumentals are so diverse and at the same time meld together in a way you’ve probably never heard instruments combine sounds. The beauty of it is, they almost sound like one.

The same thing goes with Post-Rock, only its the distance between those instruments used that create the atmosphere and, well, progressiveness of the songs. Ambient music creates that atmosphere immediately, and maintains it throughout. Each crescendo, each break in the beat, doesn’t take away from that atmosphere.

It’s hard to explain, but for me personally this is what ambient music does, and why I love it so much. So when I find out about bands like The Album Leaf, I’m always left speechless.

Which is fitting, considering this is music with no lyrics (for the most part).

Enjoy.

Check out their most recent albums, In a Safe Place and Into the Blue Again.

Alright,

Since I’m apparently a sellout for being bored on a Friday night and wanting to design something cool, because you know, I like to DESIGN THINGS, I’ll have to clear something up.

Haters be hatin’

Like jeez, all I did was put my face on the top of my blog. Apparently that’s a crime now. Fucking nothing pleases you god damn people. And in my opinion, it’s a damn good banner, so I think I’ll keep it.

Just to spite you.

Yeah, what now?

So…

Something’s different about this blog. Can’t put my finger on it.

NOTE: This is a first draft, if I can think of a better design, you’ll see it when you visit.

Thursday, June 17, 2010

Look, something not stupid.

If you don’t get it, I’m not going to explain it to you. I basically copied what I understood from LOST, because I miss it that much, and tried to apply it to my own filmmaking. I mean, John’s wearing almost the exact same gettup, if you know what I’m talking about.

This was our CommTech exam. So we did something better than our previous ones, hopefully. We had to involve:

  1. A microphone.
  2. A screwdriver.
  3. A coffee cup.
  4. A set of keys.

Yes, the murder weapon idea is probably not the most creative, but we did this in two weeks, so cut me some god damn slack, you haters.

If you see it on YouTube, rate comment and subscribe. That way I have motivation to make more shorts just for you, because you’re such loyal, devoted and undyingly loving fans that I adore the most.

Also, mad respect to John who is probably the best actor I can find to do this kind of stuff, to not make it look stupid. Cause that’s hard. Go to his blog in the sidebar.

Now, you ungrateful ingrates.

This is obviously the last film for school. During the summer, if resources become available, there will be new videos. If not, my second channel will supply you with wonderful vlogs you can hate on all you want.

Get at me.

Hindsight

What can I say?

If there’s anything to say, it’d be that I’d never live it over again. I enjoyed every second of it, but I would never want to go through it again.

When everything is said and done, taught and learnt, experienced and reminisced upon, what could I possibly say? Four years isn’t a long time. Four years in high school though, is an eternity.

So, I’m leaving. I’m not leaving anything behind, though. If anything, I’m taking as much as I can with me. Not because I’m scared of what I’ll experience next, but because, like it or not, it’s defined me. The people, the experiences, the memories and the conversations. I don’t need to be told who I am, because by the end of high school, I should know enough who I want to be. Hopefully, that’ll continue as I grow older, because staying the same person your whole life prevents you from becoming a better one.

That’s beside the point though. I’ll look back, and smile a bit at what we did or what we saw. I’ll remember that one day or the things we did during class, and I’ll chuckle to myself. It’s like a snow globe, where I can shake up all those memories and let them fall into place in my mind. And I can enjoy them as they were; good times with good people. It’s my job not to forget that, because it wouldn’t be doing my time in high school justice.

It was hell, I’ll agree with that and I’ll never want to go back. But damn, it was a fun ride.

To you, and you know who you are,

Thanks. You made high school what it was. Don’t ever forget it, cause I won’t.

And really, that’s all I can ever say.

Now, the next four years will be interesting, and that’s all I’ll say about that.

Drool.

Things that are drool worthy? Come hither, I shall show you.
-----------------------------------
Cool Material’s website name doesn’t lie, there’s some really good shit on this site.

Thanks to I SAVED LATIN!, I was able to find this and browse the first few pages and find to my pleasant surprise very interesting and cool items of clothing, shoes, tech, accessories and other knicknacks and, uh, paddywacks?

Nah, that’s not a proper representation of the kinds of things Cool Material showcases. But at any rate, I stumbled across this.

OVER HERE. Flash Player doesn’t let me copy paste awesomeness.

I like headphones. I have a pretty good pair of JVC’s. But this single color scheme, spiralling flexible cord and appearance in the cups like this thing would take some monster bass and be able to make my ears bleed while its almost silent to everyone else makes me

drool.
-----------------------------------------------------
I’m listening to Blink-182 and too lazy to change the song.

PSYCH.

Really though, I talked about AMC’s The Walking Dead live action series based off the long-running graphic novel series. I am amply excited. And, with io9, I can keep track of new production developments, like show still photographs giving sneak peaks to what everything looks like.

OVER HERE. Honestly guys, go to io9. It’s a really fucking great time waster.

At any rate,

drool.

Hold on to your seats, I’m going MAINSTREAM!

Nah, not really. But Kid Cudi is well known, and he’s kind of famous. Never really thought he made good hip-hop until recently. Apparently he does.

So, why not?

But the purpose in showing you this is the music video. Did some research: directed by Nez Khammal. Do I know who that is? No, but I’m going to say this person is a good director.

The video struck me as a pretty good example of composition and aesthetic. Very beautifully shot, interesting locations, and nice subjects to focus on too.

Static shots + a split-screen effect = very nice video to look at.

Good interpolation of Gaga too.

Old song, I know, but whatever.

Cudi’s videos and songs seem to show a glimmer of hope in terms of the music videos as an art form rather than showcasing big asses and cameos. At least here they were done with style and class.

Video blogging is for attention whores.

Oh, I will have fun with this.

Asher Roth? Pfft.

Tell Roth I don’t love college, cause I’m not going there, cause I’m not retarded.

Instead, I run shit, like so:

I Love (John) Fraser - 2010 Graduating Class MUSIC VIDEO from Anthony Suen on Vimeo.

The Witness says it well, I am the next Tarantino.

In all seriousness, this song was something I came up with randomly during a conversation with a friend. At that time, I had realized Asher Roth’s I Love College was very easy to adapt into one’s own lyrics. That also made me realize how simple and kind of stupid the song is, which is why its so often played.

Two hours later I had lyrics down. Due to sheer boredom, somewhere along the way I decided to take the instrumental track from I Love College, use my headset microphone I use for yelling at people in games, and load up Adobe Soundbooth, which I had never used before.

But because I’m so pro, I used it anyways. Three more hours later, I had the first recording of I Love Fraser down.

It wasn’t up until a month later that it struck me that I could take advantage of the equipment in CommTech and make a higher quality recording and have the ability to edit and compile more thoroughly.

Instead, my teacher told me to go into the back room with an iMac, and use the built in microphones. Which ended up not being that bad, since the back room has almost no ambience and the iMac microphones are pretty good quality. At the beginning of May, I had finished the final copy of I Love Fraser.

The idea of making a music video on it had been circling around my head during that month, but as said prior, the cycling absence of responsibility hindered those pre-production efforts. As the deadline got closer, that being the Grad Breakfast where this video, if it were to be completed, would be showcased, I got more worried.

And then I gave up.

And then my Yearbook teacher picked it up. And she got her Grade 11’s to help out in photographing the stop motion in two periods, assembling whoever I could find for those bleacher shots, and the day before the Grad Breakfast, sit in the CommTech room for five hours sifting through 1400 photographs and deleting, fixing, compiling, placing and cueing them up to the music.

So, pardon the mistakes. I’m truly sorry I couldn’t make this the best video ever, because of the limited time, abruptness, and intensely complicated process. Give me a break.

In my opinion, this product was much better than the non-existent one I was ready to settle on.

------------------------------

Maybe, just maybe, I’ll create some original content music. Stay tuned.

iSpy Team Fortress 2 coming to Macs

See what I did there?

Check out the latest blog post here: http://teamfortress.com/

So, it seems  after Valve released the news that Steam was coming to Macs, which didn’t really excite me considering I’m not fucking rich, they’ve also decided to finally port games to multi-platform usage, bringing a whole new demographic to the Team Fortress 2 community.

A whole new, never-before-spawned, new to TF2, un-grieved, un-breifed, and unskilled.

So basically, a new batch of newbs to decimate into oblivion.

Despite that fact, I was still pretty excited because of the following:

Lol, BLU Team are Macfags.

But damn, that new Engineer weapon is clearly displayed, and it has some sort of Texan-style detailing and accompanying ACOG scope or something. Could it be a spy-detecting shotgun? Will playing Spy finally be assimilated out of rational thought?

I will hope that Valve has learned its lessons in class and weapon balance and not do this, cause it would suck fucking balls. I might as well stick to Engy, camp in a corner and eat a sandwich while hoping for these new Mac players to waltz in unknowingly into my reign of turret fire.

But what’s the fun in that?

No, I’d rather see medics who don’t know how to hold down MOUSE1 to rely on, spies who decide to disguise as an enemy team member and run towards them, and the ever popular, meticulously complicated W+MOUSE1 Pyros we see so rarely these days. Because you know, it’s not Team Fortress 2 without them.

Which is true really, I’m not try to be snarky or sarcastic. Hopefully, I come off that way though. But I don’t get all this fuss about new players coming in and ruining the game for everyone else. Like newbs are something new to Team Fortress 2. Those ‘experienced’ players who got TF2 probably three months ago want to sound 1337 and criticize a player that they were three months ago. Everybody’s a newb at some point in time.

Hell, most TF2ers that have been playing for three months, still are.

I’ve been playing for three years. I’m still not as good as I could be. I can’t air frag, time my ‘sploshuns, double jump like a ninja, or eagle-stab like I so desperately wish I could. By all accounts, I’m a casual. I’ve confessed. Now leave me alone.

It’s all you whiners out there—the Valve-haters that continuously rag on every facet of every new major update and then end up getting bored and playing it anyways. The boycott solutions with Left 4 Dead 2, the new crafting system (which, by the way, had no impact, negative or positive, on the gameplay itself), every single unlockable weapon that’s been released; given, the complaints come at a recycled and ignorable pace and presence, yet they still seem to spoil the forums consistently.

Just deal with it. It doesn’t change gameplay mechanics. It won’t take away those precious hats of ours. If anything, it will make Team Fortress 2 grow in popularity, which is Valve’s intention in the first place, and its a good thing for community members too. More players means more community, more community means more feedback, more feedback means better improvements to Team Fortress 2.

Then again, this may be a temporary thing—scratch that, it is a temporary thing, and I could be arguing for a side that doesn’t care, and against a side that will forget about what they’re arguing against in the first place. That’s the beauty of online communities though.

What exactly that is, I’m not sure I’ve explained. But I’m not here to please you.

Go play some video games, they’re good for you.

What’s love got to do, got to do with it?

Nothing. This post has nothing to do with love.

It does, however, have something to do with a few witnesses who have reports. Or so I am told.

Don’t you hate it when you have a glossy widescreen LCD monitor, and you know it’d look so nice, but behind you is a giant window that reflects every single fucking ray of light that bounces off this monitor. It’s like a mirror. It’s god damn annoying. Fucking tired of dealing with this shit.

Oh yeah, check this out:

The Witness Report.

The Blooging Network has another member on its roster. Woohoo.

And as well, that guy who wants to blog too also wants to change his name, because he’s an indecisive little bitch.

But you love him anyways. His new name is:

The John Woodside Report.

Originality, my ass. Now go have fun on those two domains. I’m tired of you reading this.

Unless you can fix this screen glare. Something tells me you can’t. I’m so incredibly happy today, can’t you tell?

I’m putting aside my responsibilities for you.

So be grateful. Since I’ve been pretty much AWOL for the whole month because I’ve been doing things not involving a sore back from surfing the internet, getting an almost 1 to 1 kill-death ratio on Modern Warfare, doing school stuff (I KNOW, RIGHT?) and contemplating the potentially disastrous yet profoundly liberating thought of graduating from four years of hell—uh, high school, I can’t seem to put aside time to hit up the old Live Writer, and write some shit.

Along with that, my Photoblog is gathering as much virtual dust as my dSLR is physically.

Plus, it’s Wednesday. Who blogs on Wednesday?

Whatever, I’m a loser.

So, I’ll break it down for you in a concise, understandable manner. Because you’re all idiots. I’m not being curt, like someone who apparently knows how to blog too. I’ll skip the posting of clothing I’ll never own and dreams I’ll never fulfill. But I’ll fill you in one some key points going on right now.

First off, thanks for reading this. Over the course of almost a year, I’ve gathered more readers than I thought I would. Low standards equates high satisfaction. Foolproof.

Secondly, brobguy will no longer be the main YouTube channel link. If you’ve read my previous blog postings below, you’ll notice I’ve started a new channel with kg, that has most of our Grade 12 videos for CommTech, and possibly some extras to come. A new video (I KNOW, RIGHT?) will be up soon. Hopefully. Click HERE.

Thirdly, there is actually a lot of relevant content I could post on here that I’ve recently found out about and been following, but I am a lazy motherfucker. Get to know me, and you’ll realize that. Hey, I want to be your friend. Too bad this Live Writer doesn’t have a bullet poi—oh wait, it does. Awesome.

  • Remember that really old post about The Walking Dead live action series?
    • If you’ve been following io9’s coverage, it has been greenlighted, signed, sealed and filming right now. Zombie extras with makeup and all. On AMC. Alongside Mad Men and Breaking Bad. Series I have yet to watch but will agree are good because I want to be cool too.
    • Plus Frank Darabont is directing. How awesome is that?
  • I thought Piranha 3D was a joke. I guess I was wrong.
  • YES, I am getting all this information from my io9, and basically reblogging it.
    • Green Lantern; casted Ryan Reynolds? Fuck yes.
    • Captain America: casted Chris Evans? Rad.
      • Hugo Weaving as Red Skull? Fuck yes.
    • Gary Coleman’s dead.
      • Wait, how’d that get in there? Disregard that.
        • But he’s actually dead. Sadface.
    • Iron Man 2: Have not watched it yet. I want money.
      • I watched How To Train Your Dragon, however.
        • If you haven’t seen it, go watch it. It is awesome. Now. Do it.
    • Scott Pilgrim v. The World: Michael Cera being likeable (I KNOW, RIGHT?). Comic action. Geek references. Fight scenes. Onomatopeia. I should pick up the graphic novel. So out of it.
    • I am having too much fun with these bullet lists to stop, you know.
      • I use this system for exam study notes.
  • There are tons of online videos I’d like to show you, but I wont. Because the fun in online videos is finding them. Then its sharing them with friends. But none of you are my friends. How can you be my friend if I can’t even see your face? It’s ridiculous.
    • But they include tit-slapping, big booties, JS+RWJ, t-shirts, avatars, a guild, and lots of other things you should learn about. Actually, you probably already know about them. In that case, get to know them again?
    • Wong Fu Productions made a new short film. It’s cute.
  • Dennis Hopper is died—died? Dead. He was in a lot of movies. He had cancer. Sadface :(
    • That was an actual typo with ‘died’, but I decided to run with it. If you can figure out what I’m referring to, then you can be my friend. If not, then you’re not my friend.
  • I went to Canada’s Wonderland with some people you may know, to celebrate graduating. The demographic there was alarming, to say the least. Then it was annoying. Then it was terrifying. And then it was annoying again. More on that later, maybe.
  • I’ve been peer-pressured into wearing various things for various events, mainly a very important one this Friday. I spent money I probably shouldn’t have. It was not at all a great feeling.
    • I make it back by tutoring English for my classmate’s aunt. One of the kids is in Grade 7, and he thinks he’s the shit. I’m too passive, cause now he really thinks he’s the shit. I should hit him.
      • …Nah.
  • I love Fraser…or do I?
    • More on that later.
  • Which means the next bullet point! Damn!
    • I am a mediocre hip-hop artist.
    • I now have amateur experience with audio mixing and recording.
    • Final Cut is now comprehensible to me.
      • I feel pro-er. Feels good, man.
    • AND MATHEMATICS.
  • The Behemoth’s first dip is so steep, that if you were in the front car, you wouldn’t see the tracks when you first dip over the peak. I brought Gravol with me. It helped.
  • I’m wearing out this list, I can tell. Who’s to stop me though?
  • I just read The Kite Runner for English class. Surprisingly good novel. Never thought I’d read it, nor did I plan to or want to. But it gave me chills at the intended times, and left me thinking about it after I closed the back cover. Good books—hell, good anything does that. Check it out if you haven’t already. It’s easy to follow even if you’re not a reader.
  • I’ve started listening to Major Lazer, This Will Destroy You, The End of the Ocean, Prince, Passion Pit, The Temper Trap, El Ten Eleven, Adele, a bit of Kanye West, but he’s still douchey as fuck, Mates of State and old songs I’ve found love again in that are far too numerous to name.
    • Not really, just lazy.
    • I am really closing that gap between me and hipster. It’s all thanks to this girl who likes weird things like GO buses, and Peter Pan. Ew.
  • Pudding dongle.

I stole that last one from a webcomic. Forgot the name. I’ll remember it and forget to blog about it. And then that’s that. Pretty much how things go around here.

There’s your summary of what you missed, or what I missed and can recall at this very moment.

I should be more active the closer it comes to exam weeks. Wait, what?
