Aurally Audacious Endeavours – John Roman

Not really much to say about this guy, except for that I found about him through another John, who wants to blog too, and that he’s a native of London, Ontario and operates in the Toronto club scene (I think), according to his MySpace Music page. For some reason I don’t really want to research further into it, since the nature of the following mix of his seems to get an iffy reception for obvious reasons. Listen at your own discretion.

He’s right though; everybody does.

I don’t know what exact genre it is, be it techno or house or just normal electro, but one thing is for sure. If I listen to it enough, my head starts throbbing. It is possibly the most annoying beat I have listened to for a while. And yet, I find it addictive. So damn addictive. It’s infectiously damaging. It’s electronic music.

If you do find it strangely appealing, word of advice: get a convertible with a capable stereo system, make sure its at least 2 AM in the morning, connect your media player, crank of the volume, and drive down a road with it playing, and pump your fists like you just don’t care. You will not be disappointed.

Whatever you make of it, it’s there. Just there. Like most of this music. Go raving or crash a house party and sneak this song in. Crowd will go wild, or they will hit the DJ in the face, out of jealousy because they think the DJ is mocking their hopes and dreams. Or just because its annoying as fuck. Either/or. Doesn’t matter.

BOOO BOO BOOO BOOO, BA-BOO BA-BOO BA-BOOOO.

God damn it.
